Conan O’Brien Sells His Oceanfront Beach House For $16.5 Million

Conan O’Brien is best known as the host of late-night talk shows for nearly 28 years. Prior to becoming a host, he was a writer for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons. Conan recently received an offer he couldn’t refuse for a $16.5 million beach house.

TMZ reports that Conan O’Brien can pop the champagne, because he accepted an offer on his oceanfront home. Conan has been looking for a buyer since July. He had listed the property for $16,500,000 in Carpinteria, CA, just south of Santa Barbara. Conan’s 2,142 square foot pad is only a few steps away from the sand. It underwent major renovations when he and his wife Liza purchased it in 2015 for $7.9 million.

The mansion offers panoramic views of the ocean, island, and coastline. A large deck with a built-in BBQ is available, as well as a sunset-view deck with private stairs down to the beach. The main house contains two bedrooms, a gym, and a 2-bedroom detached guest house with a wraparound deck.

There is also a Tesla charging station in the garage. Other features include an outdoor shower and storage place for surf and paddle boards, as well as other beach essentials. Conan and Liza are reportedly spending $23 million to upgrade in the same area, so this sale should give them some extra liquidity.
