Kanye West has the power to capture everyone’s attention in an instant. He simply needs one post to take over the local news for the entire week. Kanye recently posted ‘White Lives Matter,’ which drew a lot of criticism. On Friday, rapper Azealia Banks sharply compared Gigi Hadid to her younger sister Bella Hadid in a TikTok video that Kanye later published on his Instagram.
The 31-year-old musician called the mother of one a ‘cabbage patch’ while Bella was ‘the doll.’ Later on, the 43-year-old rapper and fashion designer chose to share the clip amid his ongoing feud with Gigi. The public feud between Ye and supermodel Gigi Hadid has only continued to grow more intense over the past few days.
Ye, 27, attacked Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson after she labelled the White Lives Matter products he displayed during Paris Fashion Week “violent” and “destructive,” prompting the supermodel to remark that Ye was “a bully.” The Heartless singer responded to Gigi’s criticism by posting the brief clip to his Instagram story along with the message, “I’m sorry gigi but this is the one of the funniest videos i’ve ever seen.”
Azealia, known for hit songs such as 212, could be heard stating directly to the camera, “Gigi Hadid, you are not the doll. Bella Hadid is the doll.” The singer continued by adding, “You’re the cabbage patch. She’s the Barbie. You’re the cabbage patch.” At the end, she referenced to the Brady brunch characters. “She’s Marcia and you’re Jan.”
Ye and Gigi’s ongoing argument began shortly after the rapper’s White Lives Matter-themed Paris Fashion Show on Monday. Models walked the runway while donning the movement’s apparel. Ye surely doesn’t mince his words when criticizing his haters. We’ll have to see what he has in store for us next.
