Pat McAfee very quickly became one of the best things about Friday Night Smackdown. This is mostly because of his solid skills as a commentator and his energetic personality.

McAfee last competed against Happy Corbin at WWE SummerSlam, where he was able to win in the As previously reported, Pat McAfee joined ESPN’s ‘College Game’ broadcast full-time starting last month from the Alabama vs. Texas match.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Pat McAfee is set to return to the SmackDown position in January. It was added that McAfee will “rejoin the team,” but it was not made clear whether Smackdown will become a three-man team as he will be joining Michael Cole and Wade Barrett.

Regardless, fans will certainly be glad to see the former NFL punter back in the commentary booth. After all, his infectious personality made him a huge hit with fans.
