Wynonna Judd and Ashely Judd lost their mother, Naomi Judd, to suicide earlier this year. Many were shocked to learn that the Country icon left both of her daughters out of her will. Since then, there has been a rumored feud between the sisters over their mother’s estate. Wynonna recently responded to that gossip.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Wynonna clarified that there is no conflict between the sisters. The singer was shocked when she first heard about the rumors. She stated that there is no cause to argue, especially if both are living great lives.

Someone told me while I was at Ashley’s house, ‘Hey, did you know that they’re saying this about you?’ I went, ‘Huh? I’m fighting with Ashley? Oh. Again?

Fighting over what? I have such a great life. Ashley has a great life. Why would we be fighting over the will?

Naomi appointed her husband of 33 years, Larry Strickland, as the executor of her estate in her will. Wynonna confirmed, when he dies, she and Ashley will “split” it. She also has no plans to contest the will.

I am the last person in this family — and if Ashley was here, I’d hope she’d agree with me — who knows stuff like this. I’m not savvy enough to go, ‘I’m going to contest the will.’ It never occurred to me.

Naomi Judd committed suicide in April after a lengthy struggle with mental illness. She was 76 years old. Her daughters are trying their best to carry on the family legacy. Despite the rumors, they are quite close to each other.
