Kodak Black’s latest album Back for Everything scored the number one spot on the Billboard charts. One of the tracks from the album was nominated for Song of the Year as well, only to get snubbed by Latto. Kodak isn’t happy about losing to the Atlanta rapper.

Latto’s hit single “Big Energy” won the Song of the Year at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday night’s award ceremony. As you can guess this didn’t sit well with Kodak as his album’s smash single “Super Gremlin” peaked at number 3 on the charts.

On Wednesday, Kodak Black went live on Instagram and called Latto a “frappuccino,” claiming that she only won the prestigious award due to the women’s empowerment movement. He also believes BET did this to spite him.

This whole sh** looked like a damn plot. Then I look at the ‘gram like what shorty blocked me for? They probably hollerin’ at BET, like don’t give him that sh**. I told [people] weeks ago. Watch they finna play with me and give it to frappuccino.

Shortly after his video circulated on the Internet, Latto responded on social media with a picture of herself captioned “frappuccino.” It’s worth noting that Latto’s “Big Energy” has 36 million views on YouTube, whereas, “Super Gremlin” currently helms 221 million views.

Kodak Black is a controversial figure in the hip-hop community, it is something even he is aware of. Despite that, the rapper’s popularity is unfazed. Share your thoughts in the comments below!
