Hilary Swank rose to prominence as Brandon Teena, a transgender guy, in Kimberly Peirce’s Boys Don’t Cry and as Maggie Fitzgerald, an ambitious boxer, in Clint Eastwood’s Million Dollar Baby. Her performances in both films received critical acclaim, and she received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards.
Hilary Swank is now expecting twin babies. On Wednesday, the actress told the “Good Morning America” co-hosts that she was “so happy” to share the news of her new family. “This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time, and my next thing is I’m gonna be a mom,” she gushed.
And not just of one but of two.
The Oscar winner went on to say that she “can’t believe it,” without clarifying if she is carrying the children. Swank has been vocal about her plans for children over the years. “I definitely would like kids someday,” the “Boys Don’t Cry” star told People in 2006.
That’s definitely something that I’ve always thought about as a very, very young girl.
Swank noted at the time that she “love[s] kids,” adding, “That would be an important thing to happen for me someday whenever the time is right.” The “Alaska Daily” actress was married to Chad Lowe at the time, but they divorced the following year. Swank later dated her agent John Campisi from 2007 to 2012.
She was briefly engaged to financial advisor Ruben Torres in 2016 before marrying her current spouse, Philip Schneider. Swank and the producer married in August 2018 after dating for two years. The “Million Dollar Baby” actor gushed about their marriage on their first anniversary on Instagram.
Let us all wish her the best with her future bundle of joy. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
