Delonte West had some struggles since walking away from basketball. Sadly videos of him surfaced on social media and had him living on the streets asking people for money, and he dealt with mental health and addiction problems, Now there’s an update on him.

According to TMZ, the CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban gave an update on his well-being. Apparently West is still having issues right now and that addiction isn’t something that can be overcome overnight.

“It’s a struggle for him,” Cuban said. “I mean, addiction is awful. And mental illness is awful. He’s at the point in his life where he’s got to want to be helped. You know, he’s got to want to help himself first. I’ve tried. I know it’s tough on him, but I wish him nothing but the best.”

Gotta be tough on Cuban for trying to help West with his issues. It takes time and up to the person to really commit to controlling the mental illness.

Let’s hope West can get the help that he needs. His public battle with mental illness has been tough to follow, and we wish him the best.
