During a soccer tournament in Indonesia on Saturday, a stampede broke out, killing at least 174 people. It was a terrifying spectacle as supporters flocked to the pitch and rival teams brawled aggressively.

Using tear gas, the police were helpless. In actuality, it was a catastrophic maneuver as crowd members stampeded for the exits. According to reports, at least 34 people were crushed to death. Some people suffocated to death.

Over 300 more people were hurt and rushed to local hospitals, but some of them passed away on the way there or as they arrived at the emergency room. According to accounts, 180 injured people are not doing well.
