Christian Bale played the superhero Batman in Batman Begins and reprised the role in the sequels The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. Bale thought he was done with superhero movies after the conclusion of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy in 2012, but his children persuaded him to accept the role of Gorr the God Butcher in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder. He recently revealed how he flexed about singing with Taylor Swift in front of his daughter.

Christian Bale recently had an interview with The Hollywood Reporter where her reflected on his surprise announcement to his daughter that he had appeared with Swift in their newest film. He remembered working with Christopher Nolan and Adam McKay. Bale also reiterated his desire to appear in “Star Wars.” Bale also talked about a scene in Amsterdam when his character sings alongside the most well-known singer-songwriter in the world, Taylor Swift. The Welsh actor also intended to once again amaze his kids.

I went to my daughter and said, ‘You know who I sang with today? Taylor Swift.’ And she was like, ‘Wait, what? Why would you be doing that?’ Our pitch was all over the place … and then all of a sudden, David just goes, ‘How about Christian and J.D. [Washington] just shut up for this one and let Taylor do it?’ And it was like we had been drowning out an angel’s voice all day long with our cacophony and our rough, terrible voices.

Christian Bale had previously rejected the idea of working as a producer and founding a production company. The Oscar winner however has changed his mind in light of his two upcoming films, The Pale Blue Eye and Amsterdam.

In a recent interview with THR, Bale also talked about his reunion with three-time Oscar winner Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki. He discussed the impact the renowned director of photography had on the development of his character, Amsterdam. Amsterdam stars Bale, Rock, John David Washington, Margot Robbie  Matthias Schoenaerts, Rami Malek, Robert DeNiro, Zoe Saldana, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Taylor Swift, and more. The film will be released on October 7th.
