Coolio rose to notoriety alongside WC and Crazy Toones as a member of the Gangsta rap group WC and the Maad Circle. The rapper’s sudden death came as a shock to his friends and family. People who interacted with him prior to his death recently claimed that he was in good health and cheerful.

TMZ reports fans who interacted with Coolio less than a week before his death was completely taken aback by his sudden passing. They claimed that he made no indication of having health problems. The photographs and footage of the “Gangsta’s Paradise” rapper traveling through the Houston airport last Friday were obtained by the outlet.

He was apparently cheerful and upbeat as he welcomed several ecstatic fans. Mika, the woman who stopped Coolio at the airport, stated that she ran up to him to take a photo. He was described as friendly and very happy to take photos, laughing and being very engaging.

He even asked Mika and her girlfriends to his show that night in Cypress, TX, and they exchanged phone numbers and text messages before Coolio put the ladies on the VIP guest list. Mika said she and her friends didn’t go to the show since it was about an hour away from where they were staying in Houston, and they’re now disappointed they missed out on what turned out to be his last live performance.

Coolio died Wednesday afternoon at a friend’s house in Los Angeles, and his Friday concert with Vanilla Ice in Texas was his final show. It’s no surprise that Coolio’s friends and admirers are shocked because he appeared to be in good health prior to his unexpected passing. May his soul Rest In Peace.
