Tom Hanks is an iconic actor with a slew of legendary roles. The movies Hanks starred in have typically had great audiences and critical reactions. Tom Hanks believes that only four of the at least 85 films he appeared in throughout his illustrious career are “pretty good.”

Despite being one of Hollywood’s finest actors and a two-time Oscar winner, the 66-year-old actor claims that just a few of the films he has produced in the last 30 years are truly remarkable. While promoting his debut book, “The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece,” scheduled for release in May 2023, the actor revealed this information to People.

No one knows how a movie is made – though everyone thinks they do. I’ve made a ton of movies, and four of them are pretty good, I think, and I’m still amazed at how films come together. From a flicker of an idea to the flickering image onscreen, the whole process is a miracle.

Hanks remained mum regarding which of the four movies he was alluding to. The actor made his debut in the 1980s thanks to parts in “Splash!,” “The ‘Burbs,” and “Big” for which he was nominated for an Oscar. But once he received his first Academy Award in 1994 for “Philadelphia,” his life was never the same.
