Vice TV’s “Dark Side of the Ring” program documented some of the seedier, unreported stories of professional wrestling for three seasons. The future of the show was a source of controversy throughout 2022. Despite the acclaim, it’s now put on hold as Vice’s go-to wrestling series, “Tales from the Territories,” took its place.

However, according to Jason Eisener, who also created “Tales from the Territories” and “Dark Side,” Dark Side’s cup might still contain some booze. Eisener recently had an interview with Comicbook. He offered perspective on potential developments for “Dark Side of the Ring.”

It’s not something I can quite answer yet, but it’s not … we’re definitely thinking about more ‘Dark Side of the Ring.’ It’s definitely something that will, hopefully, be in the cards in the future. But right now, we’re gearing up for ‘Tales From The Territories’ to come out. But, yeah, there’s going to be plenty more wrestling documentaries that are going to come out from me.

Eisener’s assertion is consistent with what he and “Dark Side” co-creator Evan Husney had indicated on the future of the series. They claimed to Fightful that rumors of a hiatus were untrue.

However, the team is currently concentrating on “Tales from the Territories,” creating the series in collaboration with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and former WWE creative writer Brian Gewirtz. On October 4 at 10 p.m. EST, “Tales from the Territories” will have its Vice television debut. Keep reading Thirsty for more.
