Future is one of the biggest rappers out there, and there’s doubt about it. He’s collaborated with other massive artists such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, and The Weeknd. The rapper recently sold his entire publishing catalog to Influence Media Partners.

Variety reported the sale, and revealed that a source close to them said the deal earned him money in “high eight figures.” Influence Media partner and founding advisor Rene McLean gave his statement after announcing the partnership.

Future is a cultural icon. He continues to be a blueprint for impact and success in the music industry and has reinvented music in ways that no one has ever expected. It is rare to find someone who moves music and culture at the same speed with his distinct vocal and melodic style. His prolific career and continued popularity more than 15 years into the game is a testament to his undeniable influence on the contemporary music and culture landscape. We’re honored to be partnered with him.

Future also chimed in, saying that he decided to partner with Influence Media as he thought about the next chapter in the legacy of his music. He added that his music is his own art, and he wanted his catalog to be in good hands.

I put everything into my music, and I wanted to make sure these were in good hands as I thought about the next chapter of these songs. I’m proud to partner up with Rene and the team at Influence Media and send a signal that this music has timeless value. My music is my art, and these songs represent some of the most precious artwork of my career.

Future’s career has spanned 16 years so far. He’s released 8 albums, one soundtrack, 16 mixtapes, four commercial mixtapes, and 114 singles. Six of Future’s studio albums climbed onto the top spot of Billboard Hot 200. It’s safe to say that Future will keep on releasing hits in the foreseeable future.
