Zac Efron rose to prominence after appearing in Disney’s High School Musical series. Zac has a habit of staying attentive to his supporters, which is very appreciated. His current discovery, on the other hand, came as a shock to many. The actor recently disclosed that he “almost died” after shattering his jaw.

Efron is no stranger to stories and innuendo about his personal life. While the actor has been relatively silent about his personal life in recent years, he does take the time to combat fake news on occasion.

The 34-year-old actor hit the red carpet for the first time in three years to promote his upcoming film The Greatest Beer Run Ever and addressed those pesky plastic surgery accusations regarding his allegedly new jawline.

Zac spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the web rumors. Zac went on to explain why having tough skin is important in his line of work. When asked how he feels about fans believing he had surgery, the actor laughed and added that he nearly died.

“My mom told me. I never really read the internet, so, I don’t really care. If I valued what other people thought of me to the extent that they may think I do, I definitely wouldn’t be able to do this work. It was funny. It sucks. I almost died, but we’re good.”

In 2013, Efron allegedly stumbled in a puddle near the entrance to his home, shattering his jaw entirely. A reporter who spoke with Zac about his jaw ailment stated in a recent interview with Men’s Health Magazine.

“When [Zac] was injured, the muscles on the inside of his face and jaw had to compensate. He works with a specialist and does physical therapy to mediate this, but in Australia he took some time off from that, too.”

Zac’s revelation of the pain of shattering his jaw will come really as a shock to his fans. He fought with it, however. What are your thoughts about the incident? Let us know in the comments. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more information.
