R. Kelly has been convicted of various heinous charges including child pornography among many others. Now, he wants his case heard differently.

In documents obtained by AllHipHop, it is said that Kelly has suffered an injury, and so appearing for the hearing in New York would be a tedious task. Attorney Ashley Cohen wrote that the defendant be allowed to appear via Zoom for his hearing on September 28th, 2022.

Cohen also mentioned that the transit would require various resources to be in use. The same can be curbed if the court permits Kelly to appear via Zoom for his hearing. The government seems to have no problems with this request.

There’s no information on how injured his leg. The injury was sustained a day after he was convicted of child pornography charges by a federal jury in his hometown of Chicago. He is already serving 30 years behind bars in New York.

He is still facing criminal charges in Minnesota. The court has asked for all his assets to be taken off him, and he only has $500 to his name. While some including his attorney Jennifer Bonjean called the move unethical, there’s nothing much they can do in this matter.

What do you think could be the reason behind Kelly’s injury and should he be convicted via travel or Zoom? Sound off in the comments.
