UFC 279 was going to see Nate Diaz face Khamzat Chimaev in Diaz’s final match for the company. However, Chimaev was pulled from the match after failing to make weight.

Khamzat Chimaev fought Kevin Holland at UFC 279 instead, while Nate Diaz faced off against Tony Ferguson. Nate Diaz successfully defeated Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, in what might have been his final fight in the promotion.

While speaking with The Schmo, Jake Paul talked about Nate Diaz’s fight against Tony Ferguson. Paul stated that he believes Diaz was almost flawless in the fight.

“Ten out of 10, man. He was entertaining, he was fun, he had great striking, and then he finished with the submission. It was damn near flawless and it sets up a massive fight hopefully for us one day, but for now, October 29th, [it’s] Anderson Silva.”

We will have to wait and see what the future will hold for Diaz next. Perhaps he might finally face off against Jake Paul, once Paul is done facing Anderson Silva next month.
