Nate Diaz is definitely one of the most legitimate fighters to have ever stepped foot inside the Octagon. Diaz also has lofty ambitions after retiring from MMA. Chimaev also made an interesting claim about Nate Diaz.

UFC 279 was going to see Nate Diaz face Khamzat Chimaev in Diaz’s final match for the company. However, Chimaev was pulled from the match after failing to make weight.

Khamzat Chimaev fought Kevin Holland at UFC 279 instead and won his fight. While speaking to Megan Olivi after UFC 279, Chimaev claimed that Nate Diaz turned down $2 million to fight him.

“I could make that weight, the doctor stopped that. So yeah, what I could do now? I was waiting what UFC said to me. I said I wanna fight so I gave all my money to that guy. This was almost two million.. So I said give all my money to that guy, let him fight. If he is that gangster, he shoud fight for money. But he didn’t wanna fight me, you know. So, who’s the gangster now?”
