Marvel Studios had a big hit once again with Thor: Love and Thunder this past summer. The film had cameos from various gods. But the biggest god of them all nearly had a cameo.

In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1, director Taika Waititi and Tessa Thompson reveal that Jesus Christ almost appeared in Thor: Love and Thunder. The scene on Eternity almost got a brief cameo for the God of Carpentry. Waititi and Thompson explained that the cameo almost happened.

“There was supposed to be a cutaway to you-know-who. Big J.”

The cameo was probably cut due to potentially offending religious beliefs due to the comedic nature of the film. The cameo would have been a laugh riot, but it could have been disastrous for the Christian community.
