Shia LaBeouf has a lot on his plate at the moment. As good of an actor as he is on screen, he has faced a few setbacks recently. One such instance is the sad news of his mother passing away which he has revealed recently.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, LaBeouf revealed that his mother passed away in August. The actor was constantly by her side when she succumbed to her ailments. She suffered heart failure and Shia talked about the anguish she felt during her last days at the hospital.

“My mother was full of fear in her last moments: asking the doctor what this tube was and what that machine did. She was frantic.”

LaBeouf is the product of interfaith marriage and was raised both Jewish and Christian. As a result, he credited his mother for stressing a relationship with God. According to him, his mother was a “good girl” and a great person but was known by very few.

Shia has embraced Catholicism since starring in Abel Ferarra’s film “Padre Pio.”  He plays the titular character, a Franciscan Capuchin monk who became famous in Italy after allegedly experiencing stigmata. Unlike Padre Pio, he was removed from the cast of Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling which is in vogue currently.

The “Fury” star is seemingly on a redemption tour after being accused of sexual assault by singer and ex-girlfriend, FKA Twigs. He has also defended himself against director Olivia Wilde who claimed that she fired the actor from her movie, “Don’t Worry Darling.” LaBeouf leaked a video in which Wilde seemingly begs the actor to stay on the film.

Despite the heartbreaks, accusations, and drama surrounding Shia LaBeouf, he has managed to address everything regarding the matter. It’s quite bold and strong of him to go on with life and face these hurdles head-on while mourning her mother’s demise.
