James is Nike’s most visible athlete right now, so it should come as no surprise that the company has gone out of its way to provide him with some of the most incredible materials. Nike has billions of dollars to spend on major projects that will help shape the brand’s future, and when it comes to sportsmen like LeBron, they have the money to do so.

The LeBron James Innovation Center, a massive 750,000-square-foot structure located on Nike’s campus in Beaverton, Oregon, is one such endeavor. The structure has been in the works for years, and it was finally unveiled yesterday by LeBron himself.

LeBron can be seen opening a bottle of champagne while surrounded by Nike execs in the video below. He appeared immensely pleased with his accomplishment, and with reason.

Nike’s LeBron James Innovation Center will be a vast research facility where they will conduct tests on new items. Basketball sneakers are always being updated with new technologies, and the LeBron James Innovation Center will serve as a light for Nike’s technological future.
