Ex-WWE Star Makes Appearance During She-Hulk

WWE Superstars have a lot of opportunities, both inside and outside of the squared circle. Some of them even branch out into acting, as proof by The Rock, Batista, and John Cena. Another former WWE Superstar just landed a sweet gig on a Marvel Disney+ show.

David Otunga had the looks and the physique that earned him a place in the final two on NXT season one. Otunga was mentored by R-Truth and ended the program with six wins and five losses. He also made an appearance during the latest episode of Marvel’s She-Hulk.

In the latest episode of Marvel’s She-Hulk, David Otunga appeared in a scene where he was shown on a date with the titular character. Otunga’s character was referred to as ‘Derek’ in the show.

This marked Otunga’s first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he has starred in past shows such as General Hospital, The Call, and more.

After the Nexus disbanded, Otunga worked as an on-screen legal advisor for John Laurinaitis from 2011 to 2015. He slowly transitioned to commentary duties and panel interviews before quietly leaving the company in 2018.
