Eminem doesn’t do a lot of interviews, but he recently made an appearance on his manager, Paul Rosenberg’s podcast, “Paul Pod: Curtain Call 2.” The rapper and his manager reminisced about their professional journey together. This also included some stories that were harder to relive.

While they shared anecdotes aplenty, one specific incident stood out as particularly harrowing. One incident that is still a very scary memory was Eminem’s 2007 overdose on methadone.

Eminem revealed that following the horrific experience, “it took a long time for [his] brain to start working again.” Rosenberg, too, stated that the incident had him extremely concerned for Eminem’s well-being.

I mean, you literally were coming off of an overdose, and they had to sort of stabilize you with a few medications. And some of them took you a minute to adjust to – let’s just leave it at that.

Eminem also asked Rosenberg if he asked the rapper’s doctors about the possibility of brain damage, which Rosenberg confirmed, stating that he “thought [Eminem] might have some permanent problems.”

However, things turned out for the better, and Eminem eventually did not just make a full recovery, but he has also has been sober since. You may check out a clip from the podcast below.
