Ricky Martin has become embroiled in a series of court battles. Ricky was already facing domestic violence charges by his brother; while another allegation of sexual assault has attached to his name. Ricky Martin recently filed a $20 million lawsuit against his nephew, who accused him of abuse.

Ricky Martin is fighting charges of sexual abuse. Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, the star’s nephew, accused him of domestic abuse and incest in July. On Wednesday, the “La Vida Loca” singer countersued Sanchez for $20 million, saying that Sanchez was seeking to “assassinate” his character.

Martin claimed that he has been “persecuted, besieged, harassed, stalked, and extorted by a maladjusted person,” referring to his nephew, according to court records obtained by TMZ.

The pop star further alleged that one month after Sanchez’s restraining order was lifted against him, he began sending Martin messages on Instagram threatening to “assassinate his reputation and integrity” unless he paid. He went on to say that he received a large number of direct messages from his nephew for four months, often more than ten in a day.

Martin alleged Sanchez’s “disgusting” allegations cost him a multi-million dollar business, and he is now seeking $20 million in damages. In July, the “Maria” singer spoke out about the allegations.

“It has been so painful. It has been devastating for me, for my family, for my friends, and I wouldn’t wish this upon anybody. To the person that was claiming this nonsense, I wish him the best and I wish he finds the help so he can start a new life filled with love and truth and joy, and he doesn’t hurt anybody else.”

Sanchez alleged that he had a seven-month intimate relationship with Martin and that when it ended, the singer began pursuing and harassing him. The prosecution against Ricky has since been withdrawn, but the singer is still determined to clear his name. In the claim, he also stated that he has felt “unsafe” in Puerto Rico since the assault allegations.

Is Ricky truly guilty of sexual abuse, in your opinion? Or is this a fabricated charge intended to extort money? However, Ricky has filed a countersuit, so we’ll have to wait and see what the court decides. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more information.
