Nicolas Cage & Riko Shibata Welcome Their First Child

Childbirth is an amazing experience that couples get to enjoy. One such lucky couple today is Nicolas Cage and Riko Shibata. The couple finally welcomed their first newborn in the world.

According to People, Cage and Shibata welcomed their first child on Wednesday, September 7th, in Los Angeles. A representative has confirmed the newborn to be a girl. They also picked a name for their new daughter, August Francesca Coppola Cage.

“Nicolas and Riko are happy to announce the birth of their daughter. Mother and daughter are doing fine.”

The couple tied the knot in February 2021. In January, they confirmed that they were expecting their first child together. Cage previously shared the news in April that he was having a baby girl while promoting The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

This marks Nicolas’ third child and Riko’s first. He is also dad to son Kal-El, 16, with ex-wife Alice Kim, and son Weston, 31, with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton. Even though Riko is his fifth marriage, he believes to have made the right decision this time around.
