The NFL is gearing up for its regular season return, and that means contract news is inevitable. We now have another massive deal to report.

The Denver Broncos have been in the news recently, because the team’s ownership changed hands. Sadly, that meant Kanye West and Antonio Brown couldn’t buy the team, but now Broncos fans know their quarterback isn’t taking off.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Denver Broncos have sealed the deal to keep Russell Wilson around for even longer. He inked a massive five-year contract worth $245 million, and $165 million of that money is guaranteed.

Breaking: Broncos and Russell Wilson just reached agreement on a five-year, $245 million contract extension that includes $165 million guaranteed, sources tell ESPN.

Deal now ties Wilson to Denver for seven total years and $296 million. Another massive QB deal in the books.

Russell Wilson’s deal joins a list of high-dollar quarterback contracts. Tom Brady’s deals have been famously discussed as many teams are vying for those blue chip QBs. It appears that any team who might have been interested in securing Wilson’s services will have to wait half a decade for that opportunity.
