Caroline Stanbury and Sergio Carrallo married in a spectacular wedding in December 2021. Three weeks before the wedding, the couple had to travel to Mauritius in East Africa to legally marry. Recently, Stanbury and her co-stars on “Real Housewives of Dubai” addressed her husband’s “racist” tweet.

Caroline Stanbury was forced to defend her husband, Sergio Carrallo, when his previous “racist” tweet was brought up at the “Real Housewives of Dubai” reunion on Wednesday. “He apologized to whoever he thought he should,” Stanbury said. She further added that Carrallo was not expecting his social media posts to be thrown into the “public eye” on the Bravo reality show.

Sergio is the least racist person.

Carrallo, who is Spanish, used the N-word in the tweet in question in 2016. During the reunion, Andy Cohen asked Stanbury’s black co-star and close friend Caroline Brooks what she felt about the situation. Brooks responded by saying, “That morning when I saw it, when it surfaced, Caroline called me first — furious, like pissed — and then I got on the phone with him because he was really upset.”

Brooks admitted to feeling “indifferent” because the N-word is always “unacceptable,” but she still adores Stanbury and Carrallo.

Sergio then explained to me he’s never even heard that word before. I explained to him how problematic that is — as did Caroline, she told him — and I think he got a good enough lashing from everybody around him for that. He was very apologetic. He didn’t apologize publicly, but he was apologetic.

Meanwhile, Sara Al Madani, another “RHODubai” star, stated that she hired a “tech team,” who discovered that the tweet “wasn’t attached” to Carrallo’s Instagram. “Somebody used his Twitter to promote an R&B nightclub because he was famous back then. He said someone else wrote it to promote it,” Al Madani explained.

Chanel Ayan and Lesa Milan, best friends, appeared dissatisfied with the conversation, claiming Stanbury never addressed it with them or as a group. Part 2 of the “Real Housewives of Dubai” reunion airs on Bravo on Wednesday, September 7, at 9 p.m. ET. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
