Michael Jackson, dubbed the “King of Pop”, is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. However, according to a new TMZ documentary, which is investigating the murder of the renowned singer, Jackson allegedly used 19 fake IDs to buy drugs before his death.
According to New York Post, Detective Orlando Martinez of the Los Angeles Police Department was interviewed in the film. He claimed that he thinks Michael Jackson’s demise was “inevitable.”
“Circumstances had been leading up to his death for years, and all of these different medical professionals had allowed Michael to dictate his own terms, get the medicines he wanted, when he wanted them, where he wanted them. All of them are the reason why he’s dead today.”
Dr. Harry Glassman, Jackson’s plastic surgeon, claimed that Jackson would go “doctor shopping” to gain access to different drugs. “The way that Michael went about getting all these drugs was doctor shopping,” he said.
“He had multiple, different doctors that he was involved with and he would go to ‘Doctor A’ and ask for a sedative, and then he would go to ‘Doctor B’ and may ask for the same one. Michael is responsible, to a great extent, for his own demise, but he certainly had a lot of help from the medical community.”
Jackson was reportedly taking propofol in “Gatorade”-sized bottles before his passing, according to Ed Winter, the assistant chief coroner for LA County. Jackson’s personal doctor, Conrad Murray, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in 2011 for giving him the propofol that killed him.
“Michael Jackson was a drug addict and he was a master at manipulation because I was manipulated by Michael. I did not enable him at any time in his addiction.”
TMZ Investigates: Who Really Killed Michael Jackson will make its television debut on Tuesday, September 6th at 8:00 PM ET on Fox. It seems like the King of Pop’s story has a lot more to unravel. Stay tuned to Thirsty for the latest updates.
