Lil Wayne is currently one of the world’s most successful rappers, and he has released a number of classic songs. There’s just too much going on around him these days. The rapper’s Lil Weezyana Fest was just postponed.

Due to “unforeseen circumstances,” Lil Wayne has postponed his upcoming Lil WeezyAna Fest until October. The event, which features Wayne, Moneybagg Yo, Coi Leray, and Rob 49, was initially set to return to New Orleans’ Champions Square on August 27th. However, it has now been rescheduled for October 29th.

It is with my sincerest apologies that I must announce…due to unforeseen circumstances, Lil Weezyana Fest will be postponed until Oct 29.

To my fans, you know I always want to deliver the best show possible and we hope this has not inconvenienced you in anyway. The festival was sold out thanks to you. Please hold on you to your tickets and I will see you in October. I promise to make it up to you and to my city.
Love.

Live Nation Urban is in charge of the presentation. Tickets for Lil WeezyAna began on sale in July. Every ticket sold raises $0.50 towards educational initiatives for New Orleans youth. “We’re glad to be back home,” Young Money President Mack Maine said in a statement at the time of the festival’s announcement.

“New Orleans birthed us and we can travel and hit the stage anywhere in the world, but there’s no place like home!”

“As always, we will be honoring the many lives lost in Hurricane Katrina as this year marks the 17th year anniversary. Wayne is excited to get back home as this one will be one you won’t want to miss!”

As previously reported, Lil Wayne and Pusha T have left fans perplexed after a video of them acting in a commercial for the 2017 NFL season appeared online. On Thursday, the video surfaced on the internet on August 25th. It shows Weezy and King Push turning up in a gymnasium at an NFL pep rally while Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.” rings off in the background.

It takes patience and waiting to witness great things. Let’s see how fans react. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.

What do you think the cause of the postponement is? Let us know in the comments!
