James Wan, the horror maestro, helmed the first Aquaman film for the DCEU in 2018. The film’s energy, lightheartedness, and fast-paced entertainment quickly won over audiences, making it the franchise’s first blockbuster to surpass more than $1 billion at the box office. James Wan recently spoke out about the latest delay for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Warner Bros., which produces the film, recently combined with Discovery to become Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), and the new management has made some substantial efforts to restructure the DCEU’s theatrical approach. The first contentious decision was the studio’s cancellation of the almost finished Batgirl film, and this week, WBD made more modifications, postponing Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Shazam! Fury of the Gods until December and March 2023, respectively.

The necessity for more post-production time has been cited as the reason for the change, although supporters feel that various other factors may have played a role. Now, in response to a comment on his Instagram post where he disclosed Aquaman 2’s latest postponement, Wan expresses his feelings over the film’s delay. As the filmmaker points out, he understands why people are upset about having to wait so long.

Yeah, legit to be apprehensive with all that has happened, but I’m just gonna keep ploughing ahead and do my absolute best to filter out all the noise and make the best movie I can.

He said he is doing everything he can to make the sequel as great as possible so that fans will be in for a treat when they get to see it in theaters. With Warner Bros.’ ongoing scheduling shakeups, it’s natural to be angry with the latest Aquaman 2 release date change. With new concept art for Aquaman 2, Wan has already teased some epic battles and spectacular scenes in the movie, proving that even if there are other factors at play behind the movie’s pushback, it’s undeniable that giving the movie’s larger-than-life environment a live-action treatment could take more than a year.

Although the alterations have left fans perplexed, they shouldn’t be too concerned because Wan obviously knows their situation and empathizes with them as they await the release of his sequel. So let us take a seat and wait. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
