One of the constants of any MLB game is a fan who decides it is the right time to be running onto the field during a game. One such fan was manhandled for doing just that recently.

As revealed by TMZ, a fan decided to leave the seat and run onto the field during the big Yankees vs. Mets game. During the seventh innings, the fan hopped an outfield wall and tried to bother NY right fielder Starling Marte.

Onlookers at the game said that the fan was pummeled by authorities almost as soon as he reached the field. The man was then cuffed and escorted off the turf as well.

The fan also ended up missing a very memorable game as the Yankees went on to defeat the Mets 4-2. Perhaps next time the fan will realize it’s better to watch the game than interfere in it.
