Tom Brady is returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a preseason absence. The Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles spoked a bit about it, but he didn’t 100% confirm a date.

We previously reported that Brady is going to return “early” during the week of August 21st, but it has not been determined if the star QB will play in the team’s preseason finale against the Indianapolis Colts on August 27th.

“Like I said a week and a half ago, I said he’ll be back this week,” Bowles detailed during an August 21 press conference. “That hasn’t changed, we expect him back this week.”

Bowles did not give a specific date, but he added, “it will be this week, early.” The team initially announced Brady’s planned absence on August 11th. They also noted that he would return after the Buccaneers’ August 20th game against the Titans.

There was some speculation that Tom Brady was recording for the Masked Singer. That is a wild theory, that could pay off, but it has yet to be confirmed.
