Cardi B is well-known for controversies and making headlines regarding that. It’s impossible for even slights to escape from Cardi’s notice. She recently threatened to reveal DMs after complaining about being exploited for unpaid “marketing plans.” However, MMA fighter Jake Shields recently compared Cardi with Andrew Tate and she’s definitely not liking it.
Shields felt the need to include Cardi in his rant on Twitter after the misogynist influencer Andrew Tate was suspended from social media platforms. “People are freaking out about young boys looking up to Andrew Tate but totally fine with young girls looking up to Cardi B and the Kardashians,” wrote Shields.
“Tate’s main message is stop being lazy and making excuses and go work hard and get in shape and make money. Cardi’s is go do drugs, f**k random men and go through life as a brain dead moron.”
Cardi B, of course, didn’t like Shield’s comparison and clapped back. “I’m married, I don’t smoke weed, I don’t pop pills, I don’t do coke, I’m a mom of 2 kids and I do a lot of charity work,” wrote the rapper.
“But hey let me put Cardi into it to defend a man who defends misogyny and rape.”
Five years ago, Andrew Tate was banned from using Twitter for saying that women “bear responsibility” for sexual abuse. Tate was recently removed from TikTok and the Meta platforms as well. Meta revealed his ban was for “violating policies on dangerous organizations and individuals.”
Joe Mulhall, director of research at Hope Not Hate, commented on Tate’s suspension as follows:
“[He] poses a genuine threat to young men, radicalizing them towards extremism misogyny, racism and homophobia. We’ve provided significant evidence to the major social media platforms, including Meta, about his activity and why he must be removed.”
Tate gained notoriety in 2016 after being removed from the reality TV program Big Brother for allegedly assaulting a woman in front of the camera. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
