Karrion Kross Was Close To UFC Jump Before WWE Return

Karrion Kross was one of the top Superstars in NXT, as he became a 2-time NXT Champion. His main roster run was simply a disaster for many fans and left a bad taste in their mouths. He was also in talks to fight in the UFC before his WWE return.

Kross debuted a new mask after he lost the NXT Championship. Since his first day on the main roster, he was without his wife, Scarlett. This was already a huge cause of concern for fans, but Kross also revealed who came up with the idea of his mask.

In the end, both Kross and his wife Scarlett were let go by the company. They finally came back a couple of weeks ago on Friday Night Smackdown, much to the joy of fans.

While speaking on After The Bell with Corey Graves, Karrion Kross revealed that he was in talks about fighting in the UFC or even getting a deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

“Here’s some breaking news. So Daniel Gracie is one of our head instructors for jiu-jitsu. He was encouraging me to relocate to Philadelphia to fight in the UFC. Then on top of that, while that was going on, I was speaking with David Feldman from Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship and I was on the verge of taking a three fight deal. Then on top of that, we were getting involved with television projects, movies, and stuff like that. It’s kind of funny how it all worked out because it kept getting pushed back for delays and had it not and we signed on, there’s a really good chance we may have not been able to come back when we got the call.”

He was also relieved to have gotten his release last year. Karrion Kross is likely to face off against Roman Reigns within the next couple of months. We will have to wait and see how WWE will be booking Kross till then as well.
