The Flash movie, starring Ezra Miller, is one of the most anticipated films in the DCEU, and it will also include Ben Affleck’s Batman. However, the film’s lead, Ezra, has been embroiled in legal issues throughout 2022. The studio is currently considering three options for the costly DC film, with a worst-case scenario being the project’s cancelation.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the fate of Warner Bros.’ The Flash is in question as star Ezra Miller continues to make headlines for his controversial conduct and multiple arrests. The film’s cancelation is not out of the question, but it would be a last resort. Warner and its new parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, hoped to dodge the crossfire, because its big-budget DC superhero tent pole isn’t scheduled to enter theaters until June 23rd, 2023. However, the pressure is increasing by the day.

On Monday, the actor was charged with felony burglary, and on Wednesday, Rolling Stone reported that Vermont’s child services department is attempting to identify a mother and three children who have allegedly been residing at Miller’s farm in the state. According to a source familiar with the situation, the studio appears to be preparing for three different possibilities.

Warner has received indications that the 29-year-old Miller, whose mother has been accompanying him in recent days, may seek professional help after returning home to their Vermont farm after being away. If that assistance is provided, Miller may be interviewed at some time to explain their erratic behavior during the last few years. The actor could then do limited press for The Flash, and the movie would be released in theaters as planned.

The second option is that even if Miller does not seek assistance, Warner may still release the film. However, don’t expect Miller to play a prominent role in terms of marketing and publicity. Nor would Miller be The Flash going forward, as the role would be recast in future projects.

The third scenario sees things worsen, with Miller’s condition deteriorating. Warner Bros. might kill the movie outright, since it could not be reshot with a different actor. Miller takes on multiple characters and appears in almost every scene. That being said, it would be an unprecedented move to scrap a $200 million film.

Everyone is excited about ‘The Flash’ movie, but Ezra’s actions could ruin it all. Let’s wait and see what happens. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
