Johnny Depp has resumed working in films after winning the defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Johnny hasn’t appeared in a feature film in about three years. However, he is portraying the role of King Louis XV of France in Jeanne Du Barry, his first film role since the trial.
On August 10th, Why Not Productions released the first look of Johnny as the late King of France. He looks totally unrecognizable In the film. Johnny has spent the last two months working on his latest project in Paris.
The movie star was dressed in 18th-century garb. He was wearing a white shirt under a high-collared, gold regal jacket. The actor was noticeably whiter in the picture, and his lips appeared to be redder. Maiwenn Le Besco, who will both direct the movie and portray the lead role of Jeanne du Barry, King Louis’ mistress, will co-star with Johnny. The film will be Johnny’s first film in French and is expected to release in 2023.
The description for the film says explains what fans have in store for them.
“The life of Jeanne Bécu who was born as the illegitimate daughter of an impoverished seamstress in 1743 and went on to rise through the Court of Louis XV to become his last official mistress.”
Not only has Johnny resumed his acting career again, but he also has a tour with the Hollywood Vampires planned for next summer. All of these things took place following Johnny’s victory in the widely reported defamation trial on June 1st. Stay tuned to Thirsty for more updates.
