Iggy Azalea gained acceptance in the world of urban music before becoming a success in the rap industry. Iggy Azalea raps in an incongruous Southern drawl, and that’s one of the reason behind her popularity.

Azalea took to Twitter on Monday and announced that she’s coming back from her brief retirement. For those not in the know, Iggy Azalea has been absent from the music scene since 2021.

“A year ago I was willing to walk away from music because I was tired of the negative energy it attracted.

“But what I’ve learned is that even when I’m minding my business, y’all gonna be negative AND nosey. So if I can’t have peace, neither can you. I’m coming back. Cry about it.”
