Courtney Love rose to prominence as the lead singer of the alternative rock band Hole. NME named her one of the most influential singers in alternative culture over the last 30 years in 2020. She has a lot of stories to tell, and Courtney recently revealed that she has finished writing her memoir.

Love surprised her fans with some good news. She said that she has finally written her memoir after a decade of “dragging my ass.” The singer thanked her ghostwriter Alex Abramovich and her publisher Harper Collins after revealing the title of her upcoming book, “The Girl with the Most Cake.”

“Dude(s). I think I might have just signed off on my book… After a f*cing DECADE of dragging my ass,” she wrote on Instagram. According to Love, a release date for the book is yet uncertain. Love went on to tease what fans might expect from the memoir.

“There’s a (no kidding) very real power supply chain back up, so don’t ask me when (The important thing is that it’s good now.)”

“I seem to have 29 lives and counting. With crazy luck of being in the right place, right time (and sometimes way wrong!)”

The Hole frontwoman said that she tweaked parts of her memoir to include more personal details about her family. It includes her mother and her “impossibly glamorous grandmother.”

“F*ck an untrue narrative because that’s what people ‘like.’ The truth is so much more fun, more rich, makes more sense. And there’s lots of rags too!”

“The Girl with the Most Cake” was supposed to be released in 2013, but Love’s plans fell through. In 2014, she referred to the project as a “disaster,” and fans were forced to wait for its release. In 1992, Love married Nirvana vocalist Kurt Cobain, and the couple welcomed their daughter Frances Bean Cobain that year.

Sadly, the legendary musician passed away in April 1994. Let’s see what kind of response she receives after having her followers wait so long. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
