Blake Perry thought he had a golden opportunity when he stepped into the cage with Marcel McCain on Sunday. Perry came into his bout with a 1-0 record as an MMA professional. He left the fight with a seriously disfigured nose.

In the first round of Blake Perry’s fight, McCain locked up Perry’s head. A split second later, he crushed his knee into Blake’s face. His nose was completely caved in.

Perry fought through the injury. After he finished the round, he went back to his corner. Shortly after, the decision was made to stop the fight.

Blake Perry shared a video of the heinous injury on his Instagram story. He didn’t make any comment about the broken nose. Still, he must be in incredible discomfort today.

The fight was part of a card promoted by UFC legend Urijah Faber in Stockton, California. UFC Fight Pass broadcasted the match. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best showcase for Blake’s skills.

Time will tell if Blake Perry gets another shot at Marcel McCain. In only his second professional fight, he had his nose completely rearranged. It would be enough for many fighters to go on with their life’s work, but Blake Perry will have to show some major resolve if he wants to get back into the MMA scene.
