Drake fans have been waiting for August 1 for a long time. The Canadian superstar had a huge scheduled reunion show for Young Money on the calendar. That show will not take place as planned.

Drake announced via Instagram that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Therefore, the show will have to be postponed. Drake noted that it will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne were set to perform with Drizzy in Toronto as part of day three of the October World Weekend event. Instead, fans will have to wait for another time. Drake expressed his disappointment in his announcement post.

“I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for COVID and the Young Money Reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible.

I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked. Until then I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and I love you all. I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together and the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the COVID).”

There is no word on if ticket holders will be able to get a refund. Lawn seats for the show have been priced at about $900. Even with a replacement, many will want to get their money back.
