Drake and Keshia Chante were a teenage couple who dated each other in Toronto during their early days. The ex-couple has collaborated musically and dated on and off. However, recently Drake brought his first girlfriend, Keshia Chanté, to the stage at OVO Fest for the hit performance.

Despite having to postpone the highly anticipated Young Money reunion due to a case of COVID, Drake’s annual OVO Fest has been a monumental one, with the father of one expressing lots of love to his fellow Canadians.

On night one, one of the most talked-about moments was when Champagne Papi brought out Grammy Award winner Nelly Furtado to perform some of her best hits, including “Promiscuous” and “Turn Off The Light.” The two also performed her 2002 hit “I’m Like A Bird” together, which delighted both the audience and the internet.

That wasn’t the only female artist Drizzy had in store for fans. The 35-year-old also enlisted “Unpredictable” singer Keshia Chanté, with whom Drake has a love history. Drake addressed his ex-girlfriend on stage with nice and compassionate comments.

“This next person coming to the stage, I used to get in my mom’s car and I used to drive all the way to the west for this one right here, you feel me? So I have to personally introduce her. This is my first girlfriend I ever had in my life.”

As it turns out, Chanté has long been suspected of being the “KiKi” mentioned by the Scorpion rapper in “In My Feelings.” Chanté then proceeded to give a rousing performance of some of her best hits, which she has subsequently documented with a photo dump on her Instagram page. “Legendary Nights in Toronto,” the 34-year-old wrote in a post.

“I’ve never seen the city come together like that!! It was everything. A dream only @champagnepapi could make true. The most heartfelt and meaningful introduction I’ve ever had. Aubs I love u for life.”

“Performing songs I dropped in my teen years and hearing you sing all the words, made my soul so happy. Such a beautiful memory I will cherish forever. Toronto you have been riding for me since the very beginning and I am so grateful for the love.”

The evening was spectacular, with a sold-out crowd. Keshia Chante and Nelly Furtado lit up the stage with their smashes. Did you enjoy the fest? Stay tuned to Thirsty for more developments.
