Johnny Depp has been making a ton of headlines. While most of them are regarding his ongoing legal feud with ex-wife Amber Heard, the star has been proving that he has all sorts of other avenues that demand attention.

The 59-year-old actor has made millions of dollars after releasing his own art collection. The star released the 780-print-collection through the Castle Fine Art gallery in London. The Sunday-Times reported that the collection sold out “almost immediately” upon release.

Depp named it the “Friends & Heroes collection. As per the gallery, the collection features “people he has known well, and who have inspired him as a person.” The personalities featured in his collection are Bob Dylan, Elizabeth Taylor, Al Pacino, and Keith Richards.

Each image is an intimate reflection of their character in Johnny’s eyes; a portrayal of how they have revealed themselves to him. From his dear friend Keith Richards, who inspired the mannerisms of the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow, to Bob Dylan, whose creative influence on the artist is seen in his vivid and immortal portrayal by Johnny.

The gallery also shared the star’s words on his collection. He said that he’s always used art as a medium of self-expression, and used them to meditate on the most important things to him.

I’ve always used art to express my feelings, and to reflect on those who matter most to me, like my family, friends and people I admire. My paintings surround my life, but I kept them to myself and limited myself. No one should ever limit themselves.

The pictures were available both as a single portrait for $3,973 online and also as a collection for $15,040. The Pirates of the Caribbean star has been constantly dealing with the legalities against Amber Heard, so this comes in as a breath of fresh air.
