Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been involved in a lengthy legal battle since their 2016 divorce. Pitt recently was involved in a complex web of lawsuits from Angelina involving a French winery and various other properties and businesses. Brad has said Angelina has inflicted intentional harm upon him with her actions.

The ongoing winery situation has been a mess, and now more information has come to light. Angelina had been having a difficult time serving Brad Pitt papers for the lawsuit. Since she couldn’t track him down, she tried to do it at a very public event.

According to Page Six, Angelina Jolie sent a representative to serve Brad Pitt a subpoena at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Unfortunately, they didn’t bother to check if Brad would be there. He ultimately never showed up.

Serving legal papers publicly has become quite a trend. Olivia Wilde was served papers from Jason Sudeikis in April while giving a speech at an event. Jolie tried the same tactic. It didn’t work out in her case.

The subpoena sought to get Brad Pitt to hand over records and correspondence relating to the Chateau Miraval winery. Eventually, those papers were served and Pitt must hand over the documents.

In the wake of the public trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, many fans have noticed a similar vibe. Time will tell if it gets to that point. For now, things are very vindictive between Brad and Angelina.
