AEW Star Jake Hager Scheduled For October Fight In Bellator

Jake Hager is most well-known for his work as a professional wrestler. He is a former WWE Champion, where he was known as Jack Swagger. Now, he works for AEW and uses his given name in the ring. Many don’t realize that he’s also an accomplished MMA fighter.

Hager has not had a fight since Bellator 250 in October of 2020. Since then, he has mostly focused on wrestling. Jake did say that he was hoping to get back into the cage sometime in 2022.

During a recent virtual signing with Captain’s Corner, Jake Hager revealed when his next fight will be. An opponent was not named, and the exact date is unknown. However, he will be fighting in October of this year.

“Honestly, I feel I’m still coming into my prime even though I just turned 40 years old. I have a fight in October. I’d like to fight again in December, so I think I still have plenty of MMA fights left.”

Jake Hager sports a 3-0 record in professional MMA. He is looking to expand that and perhaps even work his way toward a title shot. Time will tell if that happens, but balancing careers across two very different combat sports has been nothing short of impressive.

The only scheduled Bellator event is set for October 29 in Milan, Italy. One can assume that will be the date of Jake Hager’s next fight. It will be interesting to see what kind of opponent Bellator comes up with for him.
