Joseph Quinn has emerged as a major star after his role in Stranger Things 4. Quinn played Eddie Munson, the metalhead leader of the Hellfire Club. His iconic guitar scene made him an instant favorite among fans of the show.

Quinn was set to appear on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon‘ recently. He nearly didn’t make it. Joseph Quinn was detained at the airport by US Immigration officials.

Quinn said he was asked what he was doing in the United States. He said that he was here for an interview with Jimmy Fallon. The agent didn’t believe him until one of his coworkers recognized him as Eddie Munson.

“I very nearly didn’t make it. I was taken into, I guess what you could call it more of a dungeon. And I was asked to wait there for about 20 minutes and then I was summoned to this desk where someone asked me, ‘What are you doing in the United States, sir?’ I said, ‘I’m actually here to meet Jimmy Fallon on ‘The Tonight Show.’ And he didn’t believe me.

One of his colleagues looked over at him, looked at me, and said: ‘Leave Eddie alone!’ And then [the colleague] said, ‘It’s Eddie from “Stranger Things,” and he was like, ‘You’re Eddie Munson?’ [The man asked], ‘Do you come back next season?’ I was like, ‘I don’t know,’ and he said, ‘You better,’ and gave me my passport.”

The immigration official wasn’t the only person to recognize Joseph Quinn. Doja Cat recently tried to slide into his DMs. It’s hard to tell which incident caused more drama, but it’s a small price to pay for the success that Quinn has had lately.
