Iggy Azalea gained public recognition after releasing music videos for her songs “P*ssy” and “Two Times” on YouTube. The Australian rapper has since released several top chart singles and collaborated with many other recording artists. She recently had a bit of discourse online about her twerking on stage.

Azalea responded to critics who claimed that the Australian rapper twerks too much while performing. The 32-year-old was insulted by a comment from a user online and decided to defend herself.

It’s a good thing I genuinely feel happy about myself and my body cause y’all stay in every comment section talking the most shit about me and it’s very mean-spirited and ugly.

Since her star has risen, Azalea’s official YouTube channel has reached 3.4 billion views. The rapper announced that she would take a hiatus from music after the release of her album The End of an Era. The album was considered a commercial failure after only reaching number nine on the Australian Hip-hop/R&B charts.
