Kid Rock has performed in many venues and front of thousands of fans throughout his career. His song “Cowboy” is still considered one of the pioneers of the country rap genre. The singer and songwriter’s fame is so strong that it may’ve led to some fans acting uncontrollably.

Kid Rock canceled an appearance at a show Friday night in North Dakota due to bad weather. This led fans at the North Dakota State Fair to trash the venue. TMZ reported that around 11 o’clock, the crowd began throwing beer cans at the stage, and one person even climbed on stage and threatened a security guard. The person was tackled by security and led away.

The Rockstar took to social media and apologized to fans regarding his absence. He blamed high winds for causing his appearance to be canceled.

SO PISSED OFF we could not play for a sold out crowd tonight in Minot, ND (because of high winds) – I know it sucks but none of us can control mother nature. Please be safe leaving and take care of each other.

According to fair-goers in attendance, Rock’s opener, Night Ranger, did end up performing. A tornado warning went into effect at the 9 0’clock hour, but the storms were north of where the venue was. As of now, there’s no word on whether fans in attendance will be refunded.
