Margot Robbie swayed fans with her intimate performance in “The Wolf of Wall Street.” The Australian actress shot to fame following the critical and commercial success of Martin Scorsese’s flick. Now, Margot is officially the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, thanks to her jaw-dropping salary for Greta Gerwig’s live-action Barbie movie.

Variety reported on Wednesday that Robbie was paid a whopping $12.5 million to star alongside Ryan Gosling in the highly-anticipated film. That is $18.1million in Australian dollars, in case you didn’t do the conversion. The actress’ latest earnings exceed her reported $10 million salary, or $14.6 million Australian dollars, for her latest blockbuster, Birds Of Prey in 2020.

Gosling reportedly pocketed the same salary as his Barbie movie co-star, with the pair ranking equal 16th on Variety’s newest list of Hollywood’s top earners. The next actress to appear below Robbie is Millie Bobby Brown, who was paid USD$10million (AUD$14.6million) for her starring role in Enola Holmes 2.

Tom Cruise meanwhile topped the list thanks to his blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick. He is expected to make more than $100 million from movie ticket sales, his salary and his cut of home entertainment rentals and streaming revenue.
