Honey Boo Boo made a name for herself as a child star in the reality TV series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Real name, Alana Thompson, she also doesn’t have the best of lives, especially due to the lack of any real friends. Honey Boo Boo appears to cheat her way to weight loss goals.
The “Toddlers & Tiaras” alum, whose actual name is Alana Thompson, will get weight-loss surgery in August. However, she has now acknowledged that while hard work will provide the same results, she just isn’t willing to commit to it. Thompson recently explained her idea to “Entertainment Tonight.”
I know for a fact I could get in the gym, and I know for a fact I could diet, and I know for a fact I can do this to lose my weight. I’ve tried. I will say I’ve tried, but the one thing with me is I have no motivation. I have no motivation to just keep going to the gym every day. I have no motivation to keep eating healthy because, like, I’m gonna eat what I think is good. I just think I don’t have motivation, and I feel like the surgery would be, like, probably the easiest way to just, like, lose it fast.
The reality personality said she would rather have surgery than force herself to eat a Caesar salad because she thinks it’s healthy. However, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, Thompson’s sister, weighed in and asserted that a lifestyle change would be unavoidable following the procedure, citing their mother “Mama” June Shannon, who had failed to sustain her significant weight loss following surgery.
However, Thompson is thinking about it after hearing from her manager that she will drop 100 pounds virtually instantly. The weight-loss specialist Dr. Steven Batash will treat Thompson and her partner, Dralin Carswell, in New York City for a treatment that would cost $13,000, according to the management of the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum. We’ll have to see whether the surgery will help her out or not.
