Rob Gronkowski ended his storied NFL career last month when he announced his retirement. Despite the best efforts of his pal Tom Brady, Gronk has been adamant that he is done with the game. Since walking away from the gridiron, he’s been taking on some new career roles.

ESPN talked to Rob Gronkowski about his budding acting career. Gronk said that while it’s still working, it is nothing like his time in the NFL. He isn’t missing the grind of the sport that made him a star.

Gronk was filming a USAA commercial when the outlet caught up with him. He talked about his experience as an actor and spokesperson. Rob is enjoying the lack of pressure.

“It’s a lot more fancy in this industry. It’s just grind, grind, grind, in football, and out here it’s like it’s like you’re like a supermodel or something.

I don’t have to be in good shape at all. I got people feeding me, and if I’m slow, I’m slow. It doesn’t matter if I’m quick or not. So it’s wonderful.”

Rob Gronkowski has been establishing a brand in his post-playing career. Those working with him on the USAA commercial suit said he delivers what the company wants. Most fans did not doubt that Rob’s infectious energy would translate perfectly from the football field to the small screen.
