Ricky Martin is facing some very serious accusations. The famed singer was served with a restraining order by his 21-year-old nephew after allegations that the two had a sexual relationship. Martin will now take the stand in his defense.

The “Cup of Life” singer will appear before a judge on Thursday via Zoom. TMZ reports that he is expected to deny any type of relationship with the nephew. Martin’s relative says the relationship lasted seven months.

The nephew also alleges that Ricky Martin harassed and stalked him. Last Friday, he obtained a temporary restraining order against his uncle. Martin was not in court to defend himself against the allegations at the time the order was issued.

If Ricky Martin is charged, he could face a reported 50 years in prison. No source has reported that there is an ongoing criminal investigation. For now, it is a civil matter.

A lawyer representing Ricky Martin says that the nephew suffers from mental health issues. Martin has adamantly denied the allegations. Now, he will do so under oath.

Martin’s legal team believes their client will be completely vindicated when all is said and done. Ricky’s testimony is the first step toward that end. Time will tell if the police get involved, but for now, the singer appears to be clear of any allegations of wrongdoing by the authorities.
